This week in my classroom it’s been all about SUFFIXES!! We started out with an anchor chart and some fun puzzles!

My students worked with partners to solve a set of puzzles…

I used the second set of puzzles as a center/literacy station. I printed on colored paper and laminated. I’m not going to lie… it was a real pain to cut/prep the puzzles. BUT… hey, I’ll have them for next year!

My students had a BLAST playing this fun board game! I had my students play with partners, then I added the games to our literacy station tub. This game was perfect for helping them memorize the meaning of each suffix.

It’s not in the picture…. But, each time they covered a suffix they used their slates to write a word with the suffix.

We completed these fun FoldOver books for a little extra practice!

We completed an interactive notebook page..

Normally I hang these task cards around the room… But this year I made extra sets and let students work in groups.

And last but not least… We made these super cute suffix crafts..

So now my room looks like SPRING!!! I’m so over the cold weather!!

You can click HERE or on the pictures below to find all of these activities in my TpT shop!

This time of year is stressful….Conferences, report cards, meetings, and everything else! I hope you conquer it all and have an AMAZING week!
